DEEP Trust Conducts Large-Scale HPV Vaccination Drive 2026
Hyderabad, India | March 2026
In a significant step toward strengthening preventive healthcare, DEEP Trust successfully conducted a multi-location HPV (Human Papillomavirus) vaccination drive, benefiting 1,680 girls and young women across educational institutions, communities, and residential areas.
The initiative focused on reducing the risk of cervical cancer, one of the most preventable yet prevalent cancers among women in India. According to public health data, India records over 1.27 lakh new cervical cancer cases and nearly 80,000 deaths annually, highlighting the urgent need for early prevention through vaccination.
Strategic Public Health Intervention
The vaccination drive was designed as a structured, awareness-led intervention targeting girls and young women aged 9–26 years, the group most responsive to early HPV immunization.
The program integrated:
- WHO-recommended HPV vaccination
- Community-level awareness sessions on cervical cancer prevention
- Outreach across urban, semi-urban, and grassroots communities
All vaccinations were administered under appropriate medical supervision, strictly following World Health Organization (WHO) protocols to ensure safety and clinical compliance.
As part of the immunization process, the first dose was successfully administered to all beneficiaries.
To ensure complete protection:
- Second dose for the 9–14 age group is planned for June 2026
- Third dose for the 14–26 age group is scheduled for October 2026
In addition to immunization, trained health educators and social workers conducted structured awareness sessions, focusing on cervical cancer prevention, benefits of early vaccination, and addressing common misconceptions—thereby strengthening informed participation within communities.

The initiative was conducted across 17 vaccination camps, spanning multiple locations including educational institutions, community centers, and residential clusters.

Execution Through Institutional and Community Partnerships

The program was conducted in association with leading institutions including Centre for Social Service, Hayathnagar; Sri Sai Vignan Bharti Junior and Degree College for Women, Secunderabad; Avinash College of Commerce (Basheerbagh and Secunderabad); Tapasya College, Narayanguda; and MNR College, Sangareddy.
In addition, community outreach efforts extended to residential and local clusters across Ameerpet, Khairtabad, Jubilee Hills, Motinagar, and surrounding areas, ensuring that access to vaccination was not limited to institutional settings alone.
Redefining Preventive Healthcare Through Access, Awareness, and Action
Beyond vaccination, the initiative placed strong emphasis on health education and awareness, addressing misconceptions and encouraging informed participation.
For many beneficiaries, this program marked their first exposure to structured preventive healthcare, reinforcing the importance of early intervention in reducing long-term health risks.
