Affordable healthcare remains out of reach for the communities residing in the core of the old city. Financial limitations make it impossible for them to afford treatment in private hospitals, forcing them to travel over 20+ Kms by public transport to reach government hospitals.

Kalam Hospital is a cost-effective service-oriented facility providing low-cost treatment to underprivileged patients and offering comprehensive medical services, diagnostics, and treatments all in one place. Additionally, they also regularly host medical camps in various specialized areas.

Impact:

• Kalam Hospital has brought affordable healthcare closer to the community, eliminating the need for residents to travel long distances to access Government hospitals.
• It serves an average of 25-30 patients daily and has organized 30+ medical camps.
• During 2021, the hospital cared for over 2,000 patients, and in 2022, this number increased to more than 2,500 patients, highlighting its substantial impact on the community’s healthcare needs. In 2023, it continues its mission of serving as many people as possible.
